Double the FUN !!!

OK - is anyone else wishing we had a little more time to prepare for the holidays ?!?! I guess there's really never enough time - we are always juggling home, work, family, friends and fun - it's just more intense this time of year !! Trying to squeeze in time to be creative is also challenging. Inspired Blueprints has just revealed another fabulous double page sketch perfect for tons of holiday photos. So, print it out and save it for after the Holidays - OR - take a break from the hectic pace and have a go at the latest sketch !! Here is my take on the sketch # 62 - I used Holidays photos from a few years ago ... and a super fun Holiday Noel Mignon Kit from last December !!

I made the tree from paper scraps and scallop cut the edges. A little mist here and there including on the Bo Bunny tree topper flower !! Add some pearls and sequins and stickles and ink ...

Holiday FUN with Basic Grey !!

I recently completed a Holiday mini album for my LSS Right at Home Scrapbooking. It is entitled "25 days 'til Christmas" and it is available as a kit at the store. December First ..... Really ?!?!

Happy December !! Let the countdown begin ! I'm behind this season ... I know it will get done but I'm usually more organized and ahead of the game ... I'm still putting Fall decorations away ... oh well ...

To help get into the holiday spirit Inspired Blueprints has just revealed a totally fun DOUBLE-PAGE sketch to help get all those holiday photos scrapped !! For this layout I used photos of Josh from a few years ago "helping" us wrap presents !! I used a Fabulous kit from Noel Mignon called "Dear Santa" ... the kit was LOADED with great holiday papers and embellishments !! Here is the sketch and my take ...

 
 

 The banner was created with a fun steel die from "My Favorite Things". It took awhile to cut and assemble the banner but I love the end result !! I used two different colored mists to spruce up the kraft cardstock ...

I added some stickles to the plain white chipboard alpha and added some berry red pearls as an accent inbetween the banners ..

 I popped up one of the journaling strips to add dimension ...

Inspired Blueprints Sketch 60 ...

Happy Monday ! If you are in need of some creative inspiration head on over to Inspired Blueprints   ...  Sketch 60 is ready and waiting for your interpretation ! The sketch is perfect for a large single photo of a special someone or a special event but, as always, several smaller photos can be used as well. I chose to use a photo of Tori, my niece's daughter, as Cleopatra for Halloween a few years ago. I used Noel Mignon's  fabulous October  kit "Sleepy Hollow"  for this layout. The kit is LOADED with fun Halloween embellies and papers. YIPEE !!!!!!!!

So, I'm finally spilling .... I was asked by the DT Coordinator at Petaloo to join their FABULOUS Design Team !!!!!!  I am beyond thrilled and can't wait to dig in to their amazing products. Their blooms, branches and leaves are gorgeous and the dazzlers are pure fun !! The design team is amazing and I am honored to be a part of this team !! Check out the gallery ... WOW !!!! Home Study Halloween Projects !!

More Halloween in November ....

My monthly Home Study class at Right at Home is tonight and here are a few layouts I created using the new Page Maps 2 sketch book !! You know how I love sketches so when this book came out it was a no-brainer purchase !! As part of the class we are given papers and embellies to create with and last month we received some goodies from the Echo Park - Happy Halloween Collection. I broke into the hardly-ever-used purple ink to accent some of the papers and stickers. This is such a FUN collection and here's my first page using these products ...

 
I kept the page kinda simple due to the busy text background paper. The cloud/moon sticker was a great place to anchor my title and I used Pink Paislee glitter chipboard alpha which was a perfect match ! Here's a few close-ups of the title, cute spooky tree and the buttons/brad cluster....

 

 

 
 

 For my second page I continued using the "Sleepy Hollow" kit from Noel Mignon - her kits ROCK BTW, please check them out !!! This page is also very simple to let the background paper from the Pink Paislee - Hocus Pocus collection show through. I added some rub-ons, felt embellies and a canvas strip that coordinate with the Hocus-Pocus collection. Here's my page and a few close-ups ...

Happy Veterans Day and ..... Halloween in November ?

Happy Veterans Day !! Thanks to all that have served, past and present, to help keep us safe !! You will never be forgotten !!!

Today, my post features the latest Inspired Blueprint's Sketch # 59 !! This was a FUN sketch - I know I say that every time - but the Design Team had a blast with this one !! I used a kit From Noel Mignon called "Sleepy Hollow". This kit was LOADED with fun, funky Halloween products, as you can see from my layout !! Noel's kits are FABULOUS so please stop by and check them out !! Here's Sketch #59 from IB and my take !!

 

Look at all the fun embellies on this page - my FAV are the skull-centered flowers, so spooky, in a cute way  !!!! 

The center cluster is a fun combo of a paper flower, a metal charm, stick pins and a Jenni Bowlin button on top of a cut out of a clock inked in orange ! I rarely use orange ink but this page was screaming for it !!       

Here's another group of embellies that include a Jenni Bowlin Halloween chipboard button and another paper flower !! TFL and I'll be back with my news that I want to share with you !

I've been Bad .....

I have been a NB ... neglectful blogger. I HAVE been creating, quite a bit actually, but I can't post alot yet.

Happy Tuesday !! I'm still reflecting on how much fun I had at our scrapbook fall retreat weekend ... I need to reconnect with my friends more often - It really boosts the soul !! Fun Fall Retreat !!!!

I'm just settling in after a FUN weekend at a Fall Crop sponsored by RAH - my favorite LSS !! I had a great time with everyone and was very productive !!  We participated in make and takes, we trick-or-treated,  played scrap bingo and had lots of laughs (and ate too much chocolate) !! It's always so great to catch up with everyone and just have fun scrapping !! We had the option of participating in a sketch challenge and I rarely turn down a good sketch !! I created two pages with the sketch - one was fall themed and the other totally summer !  The sketch was created by one of our design team members ... the very talented Frances Sylvia. Here's the sketch and my two interpretations ...

Sketch #58 Reveal at Inspired Blueprints !!

Sketch # 58 is up and ready for your interpretation ... just head on over to Inspired Blueprints and check out all the creativity ! Our sponsor for October is E.A.D.Designs and the design team was able to use their awesome products. I had a total blast with this sketch which showcases one of my FAV addictions .... COFFEE !! Here's the sketch and my take ...

As you can see I shrunk the sketch and overlapped the four "sections" of the sketch. The heart rub-ons and the coffee words are all E.A.D.Design products !!

 
I replaced the flower strip in the sketch with coffee stirrers - right from the coffee store !! I tied some Baker's twine around the stirrers to keep them together ... I also incorporated a coffee club card into the layout ...

 

 
I added more red Baker's twine to a tag which I used to place my title on... I doubled  up on the twine which adds  more red to the page ... TFL and check out the sketch and all the great takes from the Design Team and our members here !

Wanted to jump on and share a layout I completed for my October projects for RAH. I used "It's Your Day", a fun birthday collection from Fancy Pants Designs. These are a few pictures from Joshie's 5th Birthday. I did some misting, added some stickles here and there and a pom-pom for good measure. For more details please visit the RAH blog !! Home Study Projects with Echo Park !!

Yikes ... been a bit MIA from my blog ! I have been creating though and have LOTS in the works !! This past Friday was another totally fun Home Study class at the best LSS ever, Right at Home Scrapbooking !! If you are local please stop by ... Lisa and Sharon have TONS of new products pouring in and the displays are amazing !! Please come and visit - you will NOT be disappointed ! For Home Study we used a great sketch book and created two-page layouts from the sketches. Last class I did two single pages from the sketches and this time I created two double pages. The first one is of Simba, my yellow lab - the best dog in the world !! She certainly knows how to relax !! I didn't have enough photos so I used some Alpha blocks that went with the Echo Park collection and they tied into my title ... here's a peek ...

 I printed text directly on the photo which was a fun technique and a great way to fill-in white space on the photo. It's a bit smudgy because the photo was a glossy-finish ... this technique would be much better on a matte-finish photo. I started each sentence with "A", "B", or "C" to tie in with the title !

 
I used a bread-less tag and a monogram letter for Simba and hung this from the title which you can see better on the image above of the left side of the layout !!

 
For my second two-pager I used more photos. The sketch called for several small square photos but I replaced them with small circle photos. I distressed, inked and trimmed the die-cut paper to span both sides of the layout. I cut off the bottom of the die-cut paper and used the opposite side under the two larger photos.

I wasn't happy with the white space on the die-cut paper so I used some Smootch Spritz in "Pink Sprinkles" ... that made a huge difference (it would have been even better if I had thought of it BEFORE I adhered the photos,butterflies and scalloped paper LOL !!!)

 

 

I layered two clouds, one foam and a second one hand cut from the collection and anchored my title on them. 
  
  

 
I popped up most of the photos and added a few butterflies for added dimension and interest.
